LA COSTA CANYON HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL

The JV Mavs rallied in the bottom of the eigth inning to beat Poway 5-4 yesterday.  The pitching was excellent as Kyle Hogencamp went 5 strong innings allowing only 1 earned run.  Skyler Redondo went the remaining 3 frames allowing a single earned run. Offensively the boys were again paced by Danny Martin who had 2 hits including a double, Zach Armstrong and Josh McMahon also recorded two hits each. Andrew Hinkle (2b) and Ryan Healy added hits with Weston Corica chipping in with a single and 2 key RBI's. The Mavs are still in the hunt with a 2-1 record in the Pacific Classic.
