LA COSTA CANYON HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL

The Bulldog starter shut out the Mavs hitters for 5 innings, allowing just 1 hit. Garret Hughes kept La Costa in the game, giving up only 1 run on 2 hits before getting into trouble in the 6^th inning. The Mav relievers were unable to stop the surge and Ramona built up a comfortable lead. The Mav offense scored 5 runs in the last 2 innings, but were unable to catch up, falling 11-5 for the season’s first loss.
