LA COSTA CANYON HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL

  The Mavericks set up Championship Week with Torrey Pines by pounding out nine home runs in sweeping Fallbrook at Fallbrook by scores of 20-3, and 18-5. Pitchers Michael Swanner and Trent Swart each notched their individual 6th wins as the Mavericks upped their Avocado league record to 11-1, and 22-4-0 overall.  Torrey Pines maintained their one game lead in the League race with wins over San Pasqual 2-1 and 10-3.

 Going into the show down with Torrey Pines, La Costa Canyon maintained it's No. 1 ranking in San Diego County and moved up to 6th in the Cal Hi Sports State rankings while Torrey Pines cracked the top 20 for the first time by moving into the 18th spot. See Cal Hi Sports link on the link menu.
