LA COSTA CANYON HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL

The Mavericks recieved the number one seed yesterday in the CIF seeding meeting. The seed gives the Mavericks a bye on the first round of the tournament. They will play Wednesday @ LCC 4:00 against the winner of Fallbrook/Chula Vista. The other seeds were Rancho Bernardo #2, Montgomery #3, and R.B.V #4. The eight teams playing on Tuesday to get into the double elimination tournament portion of the CIF Playoffs are: Eastlake #5, Morse #6, Granite Hills #7, Fallbrook #8, Chula Vista #9, Mt Carmel #10, Poway #11, and Vista #12. The upper bracket includes No. 1 La Costa Canyon and No. 4 Rancho Buena Vista, with the winner of the Fallbrook/Chula Vista play-in game and the winner of the Vista/Eastlake play-in game.
