LA COSTA CANYON HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL

"One bad inning" is the baseball cliche which rang true in this contest.  Three Maverick miscues helped the visitors score all eight runs in the impactful 2nd inning.  On the bright side, there was excellent pitching by Dillon Thomison who pitched 3 scoreless innings.  Dudeck and Redondo also had shutout outings.  Offensively the Mavericks had several well struck baseballs, but unfortunately they were hit right at Great Oak defenders. The five Mav hits were recorded by Danny Martin and Jason Guendert with 2 each, and Zach Armstrong had a single in three tries.
