The Swanner brothers had big days as LCC upended Rancho Bernardo 9-5. The win over RB was the second of the year by the Mavericks. Michael Swanner went 5 2/3 innings for the win. Will Swanner went 2-2 with a home run, double and two walks. He also threw out the only runner that tried to steal. Jake Raffaele entered in releif and gave up just one hit while recording 4 strike outs to get the save. Grant Jochem and Mitch Tybroski both went 2-4 with a double. Phillip Evans, Justin Graeber and Kevin Hill all added to the offense. The win brings the LCC record in the Lions Tournament to 3-0 and 13-1 overall.
