Opening game goes to the Mavericks

The first official game of the 2010 JV season went to the Mavericks by a score of 5-0.  Pitching and defense was the story as Tanner Gage pitched 4 shutout innings, followed by Jason Guendert with 2 scoreless frames.  In addition, Nick McAdoo hurled a "blank" in his one inning of work.  The offense was paced by Weston Corica with 3 hits and 3 RBI's. Andrew Hinkle (3b) and Tanner Gage (2b) each had extra base hits.  Josh McMahon chipped in with a single, Schupp walked 3 times and Nick Michels added an RBI Sac fly.  In the end, the linescore was LCC Mavericks: 5 Runs on 6 hits and no errors.  Mount Carmel Sundevils: 0 runs , 2 hits and 2 errors.
