The Mavericks beat Rancho Bernardo 5-2 for their fifth straight win in the Hill top tournament. Once again the Tournament Championship Game was rained out.
The Mavericks (5-0) had only two hits but taking advantage of several Bronco errors with excellent base running and a towering sacrafice fly by Stephen Jones the Mavericks helped head coach Justin Machado to his 499th career win.
