LA COSTA CANYON HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL

The Mavericks opened the 2014 North County Tournament with a 4-0 win over San Marcos; and then in a series of nail biters, the Mavericks lost to Poway 5-6, lost to Torrey Pines 1-2 in twelve innings, beat Ramona 4-3 and in the final game edged Valley Center 2-1.

  Carlsbad (10-2) beat Mt Carmel (6-5) in the championship game 3-1.

 Next up for the Mavericks (5-5) is the opening three game series with Fallbrook (7-3) to start off Avocado West League play and then the 2014 Lions Tournament starts April 14th.
