LA COSTA CANYON HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL

The Mavs won 8-4 over Rancho Bernardo on Tuesday. Starter Sean Soto (4K, 5BB) threw 6 innings allowing only 2 runs on 5 hits. Tim Perreira (1K, 1BB) pitched in the 7th allowing 2 runs on 2 hits. The Mavs collected 9 hits with Brian Martutartus (2-3, HR, 3B, 4RBI) and Mitch Tybroski (2-4, 2B, RBI) leading the offense. Martutartus led off the 1st inning with a solo home run followed by Jack Davidson's (1-4, RBI) RBI single to jump out to an early 2-0 lead. The Mavs added one run in the 2nd on Martutartus' sacrifice fly scoring Zach Gage (2-3). The Mavs added 4 runs in the 6th on an RBI double by Tybroski, 2RBI triple by Martutartus, and sac fly by Rusty Leedy (1-2, RBI). They added one run in the 7th when Brookey (1-4) scored on a wild pitch. The Broncos battled in the 7th scoring 2 runs for a final score of 8-4. The final regular season game is at home on Thursday, against Rancho Bernardo.
