Most countries still face unemployment problems

Posted by cassidy clay on Mar 17 2019 at 11:12PM PDT

According to the latest reports, the unemployment rate still remains at 40 to 70 percent in many regions of the world. Unemployment has been one of the greatest challenges among the millennials. In 2017, 1.4 billion people are estimated to be in vulnerable forms of employment. The share is expected to remain high in most developing countries, at above 40 to 70 percent. The numbers are expected to increase by 20 million every year.

Many young people are joining the labour market that is not growing enough, with more than 40-50 million unemployed increasing every year. It is expected to see more than a billion unemployed in a decade. The quality jobs available in the market are drastically reducing and work exploitation is prevalent in developing countries and the laws don’t apply unless the conditions are too critical.

It was reported the global labour market has seen weak progress and the developing countries are not addressing the problems of “working poverty’ or living under poverty lines. Unemployment or extreme working poverty remains widespread, more than millions of people in emerging countries have the per capita household income of less than $1.8 dollars a day.

However, extreme poverty is expected to fall in the next few years, the numbers of extreme working poverty have decreased up to 10 million in 2018. The moderate working poverty still affects more than 400 million people with a daily income of $1.5 to $3.2. The growth of the global workforce will not be sufficient to compensate for the rapid expanding retiree. The average age of working people is projected to rise from under 40 to over 41 in a few years. For more information please visit https://www.hanse-staff.de/
