“This portrait contributes to my investigation on women of different cultures as it focuses on a hard working woman in Nigeria.”

Our Senior IB Visual Art students put on a wonderful exhibition on Monday, March 5 at the Windermere Town Hall. The students worked diligently this year to create a cohesive collection of works addressing topics from pollution and poverty to showcasing the strength of women around the world. For me, it’s exciting to see the show come together throughout the day from assembling the display units in the morning to hanging the final works just before the doors open. Our students should be very proud of a job well done.

The cast and crew of High School Musical, Jr. under the direction of Cynthia Lowa and choreographed by Rosemarie Redman gave brilliant performances at the JCC Rosen Center last Friday and Saturday! Congratulations to all!

Congratulations to Maestro Dave Westerskov and the WPS Wind Ensemble for earning a superior rating in sightreading and for their outstanding musical performance during the Music Performance Assessments at Olympia High School today!

Our Middle School Strings students had an opportunity to work with Jessica Meyer, a Juilliard composition specialist. Jessica was able to express how pleased she was with their progress.

We are looking forward to welcoming musicians from Juilliard and our composition specialist to WPS on Thursday April 26th to perform our student’s composition piece live for them. This will be filmed and shared afterwards.
