Our theatre arts festival tour has taken our participants in all kinds of directions. We continued our journey by seeing Anastasia and Spongebob Squarepants, enjoyed a boat tour of the city and the Statue of Liberty, completed the Linklater workshops yesterday, completed our last workshop today that focused on making a scene, toured the world famous Apollo Theatre where our students had the opportunity to perform on stage as so many of the greatest artists have, and finished the evening eating at Rosa Mexicana and walking over to visit Lincoln Center. It’s been a wonderful journey seeing our theatre arts students grow as artists.

After a great day of travel, walking the city, visiting Rockefeller Center and the “Top of the Rock,” our theatre arts students participated in their first workshop, “Improvisation” with members from “The Band’s Visit.” On the way to the Ethel Barrymore Theatre, our students walked through Times Square. Pictured here is actor Etai Benson from the “The Band’s Visit.” Our students had the opportunity to get autographs at the stage door immediately following the show and enjoyed French Cuisine at the Brasserie Cognac. We look forward to two workshops tomorrow and the musical, “Come From Away.”
