The bus will depart at 4 PM. I will notify the top 21 runners who are on the bus at our practice Monday. Parents can transport their athlete to Pelion to run if they are not in the top 21. Please remember to sign out with Coach Hines at the meet if your athlete is riding home with you. We require all athletes to remain at the meet until the end of the awards ceremony.
Race times are:
5:30 all boys
6:00 all girls
Awards following the completion of the girls race.
This is a big meet with least 20 teams.
A special thanks to all the parents who helped with the Lake Murray Invitational. Meet results are on Strictlyrunning.com as well as scrunners.com. Scrunners has a photo gallery as well as a history . John Olsen does a great job of coverage of cross country and track – check it out.
There were 41 registered schools and 1336 athletes at the meet and coaches and visiting parents/spectators were very complimentary of the meet and of the large parent volunteer force we had!!
This meet is considered by many coaches to be the most competitive meet in the state in terms of the quality of the teams participating and I agree.
Ok is the test to see if you are really reading all of the email- Oct 1 meet is Senior Day. We will honor our seniors and their parents at that meet!!!
