Lady Titan LAX Family,

To all those that are participating in Fall Ball 7v7, please read this as there is an important change for the league game times moving forward: Based on the fact that we are in the Fall season now and we are losing daylight much sooner, the league has decided to move all game times up by 30 minutes for the rest of the Fall Ball season.

Please be onsite 30 mins prior to your first game for stretching and warm-ups prior to playing. (i.e Be onsite at 11am for an 11:30am start time)

Here are the new times:
Sunday 14 OCT – 7v7 Fall Ball Games. Here’s the schedule for 7v7:
11:30am LSW Silver vs NDS White (Field 1)
12:30pm LSW Silver vs Park White (Field 1)
2:30pm LSW Blue vs Park Blue (Field 1)
4:30pm LSW Blue vs BV Blue (Field 1)

Also, the league has decided to make up the Week 1 rainout, so we will play the 7 OCT games on 4 NOV, and the playoff weekend will be pushed back one more week to 11 NOV.

That being said, we can expect cooler temps as we progress through this season, so please make sure you check the weather conditions before you come out to the field. Thus coming Sunday, the forecast is calling for rain and a high of 43 degrees…so please bring cold weather (and wet weather) gear.

Attached is a flyer for a Prospect Lacrosse camp at Oklahoma Baptist Univ for anyone who is interested in making the drive down to Shawnee, Oklahoma for a campus tour and a camp to show your skills in front of the OBU coaching staff. Coach Jordan Beech has recruited from the Lee’s Summit area, and is very interested in players from our town, so it may be worth the trip if you want to play at the next level.

Good Morning Lady Titan LAX Family,
I wanted to let everyone know what is coming up for this week so everyone is informed.

Tuesday 9 OCT – Week 5 of 8 of indoor sessions at Lakeland Community Church. These sessions are going extremely well. The new players are starting to get a good feel for the game, and the veteran players are starting to get to their mid-season form sooner rather than later.

Thursday 11 OCT – LSW Lacrosse Board meeting. I know I spoke of this in a previous email, but I want to stress again that if any of the parents on the girl’s side of the lacrosse club are interested in serving on the Board, please seriously consider attending this meeting. With the current Lacrosse Board, 4 of 6 members (including our Board president) have children who are in their Senior year, so we need parents to take over these roles next season and beyond as these current members will step down at the end of the year. The Board will meet at 7pm in the LSW Library, and will last about an hour.

Lady Titan LAX Family,

I just wanted to let all of you know that there will be a LSW Lacrosse Board meeting next Thursday evening (11 OCT) at 7pm at LSW. (Either Bateman Hall or the Library).

Although attendance at these Board Meetings are optional for those not currently serving on the Board, we have an open spot on the board and need volunteers to assist with various committees and activities. The current board has 4 of 6 members with senior players, so we really need some parents of younger players to get involved for upcoming years.

These meetings allow the board and whomever is in attendance to hear updates from both the boys and girls coaches on how things are progressing, upcoming events to plan for, and we also discuss the fiscal health of the club as a whole.

If you have any interest in sharing your time and talent, whether it’s as a Board member or as a volunteer to help out, we would appreciate your help. In my opinion, we have the strongest and best-run lacrosse board in the KC Metro, and it truly does take a village to make it that way. If you might be interested on serving on the board, or have questions, please feel free to contact me.

Good Morning Lady Titan LAX Family,

I wanted to give you a quick update on what’s going on for this Sunday 7 OCT for our first week of Fall Ball. If this is your first time participating in Fall Ball 7v7, give yourself a little extra time to get to the stadium just in case you get lost or have trouble parking. We are the first game of the day, so hopefully parking is not an issue. We will be playing on the turf stadium with the track around it.

We had a change in opponent for the second LSW Blue game at 1pm. The time and field are the same, we are just going to play a different team. Here’s the latest schedule:

- LSW Blue Team
12pm LSW Blue vs SM Navy (Field 1)
1pm LSW Blue vs SJA Red (Field 1)

- LSW Silver Team
5pm LSW Silver vs BV Blue (Field 1)
6pm LSW Silver vs Aquinas Gold (Field 1)

All games will be played at Blue Valley North HS at 12200 Lamar Ave, Overland Park, KS 66209 which is about 1 block south of the Sprint campus.

All returning players please bring your LSW practice pinney just in case we are short league pinneys. Also,
arrive 30 mins prior to your first game time for warm-ups and stretching.

PLEASE NOTE****

WE WILL PLAY IN THE RAIN, we just won’t play if there’s lightning in the area. The forecast is calling for rain on Sunday, so make sure to bring rain gear/umbrellas. I would suggest towels for your daughters to dry off with when they get back into their vehicles.
