News and Announcements

Good Morning Lady Titan LAX Family,

As we are in the proverbial “Calm before the storm” with all of this downtime before we start back up in January, I want to ask that everyone please make sure that all of the paperwork is taken care of so we don’t have to worry about it once January comes around. Here’s the list of housekeeping items you will need to work on if you haven’t already:

Make sure you have completed your US Lacrosse Membership (whether a new US Lacrosse number, or a renewed membership). A player will not be able to take the field until she has an updated membership, so please have this taken care of as soon as possible. Once you have completed this, please email me with the new expiration date (or new USL membership number and expiration date if you are generating a new membership)

Make sure you have a valid sports physical on file in the PRIVIT website. Here’s the link:
https://lswtitans-mo.e-ppe.com/index.jspa
I have attached the “How-to” document on the process to get a digital copy of the sports physical into the website. If you have a paper copy, you’ll have to scan it and upload it into the site. If you have a physical on file from this year from a fall or winter sport, you are all done.

If you have not completed the online registration from our Teampages site, please complete it. This is how we gather information (phone numbers, emergency contacts, etc…). Here’s the link:

If you click the link and it does not work, copy the link and paste it into the browser.
That’s it for now. I appreciate everyone’s attention to these items, and I look forward to the upcoming season. Please feel free to reach out to me at 816-977-5707 or lswhsgirlslax@gmail.com if you have any questions.

Good Morning Lady Titan LAX Family,

Registration is over…and it looks like we are going to have the largest LSW Lady Titan LAX family in our 9-year program’s history. It’s a very exciting time for the club and the coaching staff. Based on the two nights of registration, we are estimating we will have around 47 – 50 players on our team this year, with 21 of those players being new to our family. First, I want to welcome all of our new players and parents to our team. I hope we meet your expectations this season, and I think I can speak for the coaching staff that we are excited to teach you all about this wonderful game.

So, now that registration is over, you may be asking “What now, coach?”…here’s what you can work on until Jan 6th when we start indoor sessions at Lakeland Community Church.

Make sure you have completed your US Lacrosse Membership (whether a new US Lacrosse number, or a renewed membership). According to the information I have, we have about 10 returning players that need to renew their membership to extend past the end of the upcoming season, and we have about 6 new players who have to get their US Lacrosse membership completed. If you are one of players who this applies to, you will not be able to take the field until you have an updated membership, so please have this taken care of as soon as possible. Once you have completed this, please email me with the new expiration date (or new USL membership number and expiration date if you are generating a new membership)

Make sure you have a valid sports physical on file in the PRIVIT website. Here’s the link:

That’s it for now. Thank you to everyone for being a part of the best girl’s lacrosse program in the KC Metro area. I look forward to an exciting season. Please feel free to reach out to me at 816-977-5707 or lswhsgirlslax@gmail.com if you have any questions.

Lady Titan LAX Family,

I wanted to pass this along. Please spread the word to your friends and family to help grow the game in LS for both boys and girls lacrosse.

All,

United Lacrosse Association YOUTH registrations are now open for the 2019 season. You can go to the registration page by clicking here (http://ulacrosse.org/Registration/Default.asp?n=63314&org=ULACROSSE.ORG). Be aware that US Lacrosse #s are now required to be valid until 6/1/2019 in order to register. If your children’s US lax #s are not current, the registration will take you to the US Lacrosse website to purchase a new one or renew your old ones.

As always, if your kids are not in youth any more (or even if they are), take this opportunity to help out our club and forward this email to all your local friends and family and be United Lacrosse Association Ambassadors.

As part of the boys and girls registrations, kids have the option of signing up for our boys or girls leagues, or they can sign up for our Saturday morning skills group. No equipment is needed for the Saturday morning skills group, however boys and girls have the option of purchasing their own stick during registration or can bring their own stick to the sessions.

Hope everyone is doing well and can’t wait to see you all out on the field in the Spring.

Coach Block

Have a great day!

Hello Lady Titan LAX Family,

All of the coaches in the KC Metro received an email this morning from the president of the KC Area Lacrosse officials asking for help in filling their ranks. I have attached the flyer if anyone is interested. If you are considering becoming an official, I promise I won’t yell at you during the game, lol. Adults can officiate at all levels, high school aged people can only officiate youth level.

Current high school players are also eligible to officiate youth-level lacrosse games, and it’s a pretty good source of income for weekend work. I think we already have a couple of girls on our team that officiate at the youth level.

If you are interested, or if you just want more information, there’s a contact person in the flyer that you can reach out to.

Have a great day!

Lady Titan LAX Family,

We had our first day of Registration on Saturday. We were visited by 18 players and their families, 10 of which will be new players on our team this Spring. I would like to welcome all the new members of the LSW Lady Titan LAX family. I am very excited to see so many new faces and can’t wait to get started.
Now, with only 18 people signed up and paid, that means we have about half of our team that have completed the process, so I expect to see a lot of you this Wednesday night for the second and final night of registration. So, if you haven’t already, please take care of the following.
First and foremost, let’s get the online registration part done. As of this morning, we have 30 players who have completed the online registration process, so there’s only a few of you left. For those who still need to complete the online portion, please take care of this before Wednesday to make your registration go much smoother.
Here’s the link:
https://teampages.com/forms/18869-2019-Spring-Season-Lacrosse-Registration

This can be done one of several ways:
#1: Via the Teampages Website:
Log into your Teampages profile.
When you are on the main LSW Girls LAX page, you’ll see a banner on the right-hand side with the Registration Link on it…that should get you to the correct page.
#2: Copy and paste:
Copy the link and paste it into a new browser window.

I hope that helps. Please let me know if you have any issues.

Secondly, have your US Lacrosse membership up to date. We will ask that the membership be current through at least 1 JUNE 2019 when you come to the in-person registration, so if this is taken care of before you arrive, it’s one less thing you’ll have to worry about. If you visited us on Saturday and did not have this part taken care of, please complete the US Lacrosse membership process and email me the US Lacrosse membership number and expiration date at lswhsgirlslax@gmail.com

Third, whether you are a new player or a returning player, we need you to come to the final in-person registration this upcoming Wednesday night on 5 DEC from 5pm – 8pm at the LSW Library and Media Center

  • All new players MUST attend to get properly sized for a uniform, choose their jersey number from available numbers and submit payment.
  • All returning players MUST attend to submit your payment.

Also, there will be spirit wear for sale during these in-person registration sessions, so it would be a great time to get some new “swag” or place an order for one of those super-cool Boathouse jackets that all the cool people wear. Personally, I am getting one of the new LSW Titans Lacrosse scarfs. I have also attached the flyer for this season’s batch of spirit wear for you to look at if you want to order anything on Saturday.

Here are the expected costs for the 2019 season:

  • All Players – Club Due – $225
  • New Players – Uniform – $101 plus $8/pair for socks (we recommend 2 pairs)
  • All Players – US Lacrosse Membership. Whether a new or returning player, all players must have a current membership that will be valid until at least 1 JUNE 2019. You can go to www.uslacrosse.org and choose Join/Renew. Cost is $35 via credit card to US Lacrosse. The LSW LAX club does not take payment for this. While completing this process, when it asks for a what club you are a part of, look under Kansas, and choose “KC Metro Girls Lacrosse”

See you on Wednesday! Bring your Chromebooks and bring your checkbooks!
