Lady Titan LAX Family,

I just wanted to give everyone more details on upcoming player pictures and the lock-on next month. Here’s what’s coming up:

- Player Pictures: We will be taking individual player photos for this season’s program. We will be taking these pictures just before our Sunday practice session at Lakeland Community Church on 27 JAN. For all players who do not have a uniform, we will be bringing extra ones. Just make sure you come ready for the camera, then we’ll practice afterward. If you want to be in the program, make sure to make it to practice on 27 JAN.

Lock-in: This will start on Friday night 15 FEB at 8pm. The lock-in will finish no later than 10am on Saturday morning. We will not be charged for facility rental by the church, but we can bring our own food & drink. We will have to make sure we clean up after ourselves before we leave. Our Senior class is in charge of coordinating. Any parent that would like to help the coaching staff during the event is welcome to hang with us.

Here’s what the Seniors want to see:

- Seniors will wear Neon Pink and bring sweet treats
- Juniors will wear Neon Green and bring salty treats
- Sophomores will wear Neon Yellow and bring drinks
- Freshman will wear Neon Orange and bring plates, cups, napkins, and silverware.

Also, make sure to bring pillows, blankets, phone chargers, etc….

Happy Monday Lady Titan LAX Family,
After 2 indoor practice sessions, our girls are looking better and better. We have a great turnout, the new players are learning at a fast pace, the veteran players are quickly getting to their mid-season form. The girls are working hard, and it will pay off when the season starts.

If you have not paid the $80 for the indoor sessions, please send a check to LSWHS and have it delivered to Mr. Rasdall in Room 0184 (ROTC Room). All checks should be made out to LS WEST LACROSSE. The coaching staff does not want to collect money at Lakeland unless Mr. Rasdall is there, so just giving him the money at the school makes it much easier.

As for team information, there’s not much new information to post this week. Here are the key dates of things coming up this season:
• Team Lock-in on 15 FEB 2019 at Lakeland Community Church. We will be spending the night as a team (this will include members of the coaching staff) overnight Friday night into Saturday morning. I will be sending more details out as it gets closer. The church is allowing us to use the facility at no cost, so we just need to bring our own food & drink, and make sure we clean up after ourselves before we leave. Our team Seniors are taking the lead on planning the details for the lock-in. I’ll be sharing those details soon.
• Start of Spring Season / Varsity Tryouts – The official start of the Spring 2019 season is 25 FEB 2019. We will be moving our practices to LSW. Our practice field will be the field directly behind the tennis courts. We will be having our Varsity tryouts on Monday through Thursday of that week (25-28 FEB). Here’s a list of all things that MUST be completed prior to 25 FEB or you will NOT be allowed to take the field:
• p(. US Lacrosse Membership – must be valid to around 1 JUNE 2019.
• p(. Current Sports Physical – must be uploaded into PRIVT website.
• p(. All dues paid.

• Lee’s Summit vs Omaha / Des Moines Playdate on 29-30 MARCH. They will travel to LSMO and we’ll have a small tournament where each LS team will play each Omaha/Des Moines team. All 3 Lee’s Summit girls teams will be playing, and as of right now there are 2 teams from Omaha/Des Moines committed to play. This is supposed to be a Varsity-level tournament, but the position coaches will be deciding which JV players they will want to invite to participate as the date gets closer.
• KC vs STL Playdate on 5-6 APRIL. Our Varsity team will travel to St. Louis to play 3 STL area teams (1 on Fri night, 2 on Sat). As of right now, the 3 STL area teams are Lafayette, Cor Jesu and Parkway West. From KC, we have LSW and St. Teresa’s committed, and we are waiting on the 3rd team to commit.

If you do not have a current sports physical on file, LSR7 will be hosting 2 sessions where a sports physical will be performed. A valid sports physical MUST be on file or you will not be allowed on the field on 25 FEB (start of the Spring 2019 season)

Here are the details:

February 2 @ LSWHS (Front Entrance)

February 23 @ LSHS (Attendance Entrance)
Time:  8:00 am to 10:30 am (doors lock at 10:30) students are seen in the order that they
           arrive.    

Who:  R-7 SCHOOL DISTRICT STUDENTS
            Entering Grades 8th-12th for the 2019-2020 school year

Cost:  Nonrefundable $20.00 Pre-registration online through your parent portal in
PowerSchool (look for ‘make a payment’, add ‘sports physical clinic’ (choose location) to cart, check out)  Online registration will close at noon the Friday before each clinic.  (This is a fundraiser that benefits all three high schools Athletic Training Programs and the cost is nonrefundable.)              
              $25.00-Walk-ins (cash or check only)

*2019-20 HIGH SCHOOL Students only!!  If you already have a PRIVIT account, parents and students please update all documents (archive all prior forms and re-sign all documents for 2019-20 school year) or New to PRIVIT you will create an account on your school’s PRIVIT page.  After creating an account, you will add your student as a member and enter their information. Also, please JOIN A TEAM so that your student’s profile is visible to his/her school activities office. Upload page 2 of the MSHSAA Physical Exam Form after completion of the physical.   HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS ONLY: Go to your high school’s PRIVIT page

*2019-20 MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS!! —DO NOT LOAD YOUR INFO TO PRIVIT! Please have pages 1, 3, and 4 of the physical form filled out before your arrival.  You will need to turn your physical into your Activities office at your middle school.
These physicals will be good for the entire 2019-2020 school year and for the rest of this year.
