Powered by a high-octane offense, Coventry defeated East Providence, 23-3.

Offensively, Logan Lama (two-run home run), Brayden Deprete, Griff Frenze, Aiden Wilkins and Kole Kilduff led the way.

In addition, Aiden Bocompani who started his first Connie Mack game, went 3 for 4 on the night.

Zachary Ellison, Coventry’s catcher, was noted for a solid game behind the plate.

Led by the combined two-hit pitching of Yanni Folopolous and Dylan Poloski, Flood Ford edged Slocum Baseball, 5-2.

Folopolous, who allowed only one earned run through three innings, struck out five batters. Poloski, who did not allow a hit in four innings of relief, struck out six batters for the victory.

Sean Giannelli struck out 12 batters en route to a complete game four-hitter to lead the East Greenwich Avengers to a 6-2 victory over Vogie Baseball.

At the plate, Giannelli helped his cause by driving in three runs. Also, Ryan Sheeran and Evan Macaulay each had two hits and one rbi for the maroon and white.

Back by a 12-run outburst, Brendan Griffin picked up his first Connie Mack victory when West Warwick beat the Bulldogs of Westerly, 12-0.

Griffin, who made his first appearance of the year on the mound one night earlier against Flood Ford, stuck out three batters and walked none in 3 2/3 innings of work.

After taking a 2-0 lead with two unearned runs in the top of the first inning, West Warwick opened up a 7-0 lead thanks to rbi singles by Nick Brown, Anthony Burt and Griffin.

In all, WWCM tallied 12 hits in the game. Leading the way for the orange and black were Josh Pedus (2/2, 2 runs and 2 rbi’s), Griffin (2/3, 1 rbi), Dylan Provoyeur (2/3 1 rbi), Brown (1/4, 2 rbi’s), Burt (1/3, 2 rbi’s), Logan Dean (1/3), Nathan Hunt (1/2), Zack Lawrence (1/2, double) and Michael Gallo (1/3).

Jack Colvin, who struck out seven batters in six innings of work, allowed just one run on five hits to pace Warwick PAL past Slocum Baseball, 4-1.

Zach Scotti and Conner Salzillo each drove in two runs for PAL.
