The Cranston Bulldogs won their first game of the season Thursday night by blanking East Greenwich 10-0.

Kyle Palardy allowed just two hits over 4 2/3 innings and Jake Latek finished game, earning a combined shutout for the Dogs.

The Bulldogs were lead by the hitting of Jacob Latek, Christian Adams and the sterling defensive play by Centerfielder Jacob Chin.

The South Kingstown / Narragansett Lions bested the LaSalle Rams 14-5.

The Lions were led by the pitching of Brendan Flaherty who threw six strike outs in four innings of work.

SK/Narr put together thirteen hits with Aidan Burdick, Colin Masseur, Tyler Poirier and Declan Wholey all having two or more hits and a number of RBI’s.

Patrick Ruhle and Jimmy Robbin combined for three innings of pitching and added another five strikeouts to the day.

The Rams threatened early in the game with Kyle Bourque hitting a two run single. Also, Tyler Simon, Robbie Natle and Martin had one hit each in the Rams defeat.

Chariho’s four pitchers (Jack Kesner – 2 innings, Adam Carpenter – 2 innings, John Pelligrino – 1 inning and Kyle McGovern – 2 innings) combined to beat an undermanned Coventry team, 15-0.

The East Providence Knights defeated Flood Ford, 1-0, in their league opener.

Down by one run going into the bottom of the seventh inning, Shep Simmons led off with a Triple to left center. Zack Miner drove him in with a double to centerfield. After Tim Fagan followed with a walk, Drew Bozek provided the winning rbi with a line shot to center.
