News and Announcements

Dear players,
I would like to thank you for all the hard work you put into this hockey season. The season didn’t end the way we wanted it to, but I am so pleased with how much everyone improved. The friendships that were made will last for many years to come. I was really looking forward to the NOHAs – I know that we would have turned heads and shown what our team has to offer. There was many highlights to the year for me: the great game we played at the Rockland tournament, going to laser tag as a team event in Rockland and having many close games and winning against Rouyn at the end of the year. You have all made myself and the rest of the coaches proud.
I also want you to know that we still plan to have an end of year party – it just might be much later. At the party I would like to sit down with every player and their parents to discuss the year and what areas of the game the player should work on over the summer months. I hope that everyone continues to work on their stick handling with your golf balls and that everyone is shooting pucks. Don’t shoot pucks just because I’ve asked, shoot pucks for a purpose (shoot to score), that will make you a better player.
I truly miss you all and don’t hesitate to reach out to me if you have questions or want ideas on how to work on other skills. Please take this time to learn how to be positive, respectful people and learn how to help others.

Coach Kevin

Refund update

Posted by Josée lachance at Mar 25, 2020 8:56AM PDT

Hi everyone,
I would like to take this time, to wish all our families a safe and healthy social distancing period. It is certainly not an easy one to do since we are all very busy but I think if everyone follows the government’s lead on this, we will be able to recuperate faster from this situation. :)

As for the refund money from our team, I have not forgotten about it. Our association is working on making the adjustments for our team fees and they will refund all expenses that were cancelled (NOHA fees, league finals fees, remaining practices) due to the COVID-19. When I have the amount refunded, I will include this portion to the amount needed to be refunded to all families.

I am also hoping to set up a year end party for our players once we are able to resume our social activities, even if this is in 2 months. It will give them the opportunity to see their buddies.

Thank you everyone for a great year and I will keep you in touch of any updates i may have,

Josée

Good morning everyone,
Here are some updated information for our team:

1. Holiday Inn has cancelled all our rooms, you do not need to call in to the hotel unless you have secured your room outside of our group.

2. We will reschedule our year end team party…once things settle, we will confirm in advance the new date.

Have a great day !

Hotel information

Hi again,

:)

I was able to cancel all blocks at the Microtel and the Quality Inn in Val d’Or this evening for March 27th to 29th , 2020.

As for the Holiday Inn in Sudbury for this weekend, I have emailed Shirley (the manager in charge of group bookings). I am hoping for her to respond to my message early tomorrow and let me know that she has cancelled all the rooms under our team. If you wish to cancel your room tonight , you can also do so.

P.S. all rooms not booked under our group/team will need to be cancelled individually.

Thanks,
Josée
