new head boys' basketball
coach at Hillcrest High
School. Coach Schaefer
spent this past season at
Mtn. Grove High School
and led the Dadeville boys
to the Final Four in 2003.

Shaffer has been named
the new head softball
coach at GHS. Coach
Shaffer was the head
softball coach at Bartlesville, Okla.
High School for nine years
and took them to a state
runner-up finish in 1998.

Former Lady Falcons and
current Drury University
head coach Nyla Milleson
has been named the new
head coach of the Missouri
State University Lady Bears.
Coach Milleson went 157-39
and won the MO Class 4-A
State Championship in
1996 while at Glendale.
At Drury, she had a record
of 185-36 with an appearance
in the NCAA Div. II National
Championship game.

Jeff Mason has signed to
play baseball at Ashley
Juco in Kansas City.

Long-time coach at
Springdale(Ark.) High
Charles Smith retired after
this past season. He spent
17 years as the head
mentor of the Bulldogs and
led them to the 1998 4-A
State Championship game.
Coach Smith faced off
against Glendale many
times, winning only once
in 1998 and losing seven
times between '92 and '05.
