ROBERTS INJURED BY FALL
December 27th, 1977 - 9:30 a.m.
Glendale head coach Jack Roberts fell from a ladder in
the southeast enterance to Falcon Court while trying
to hang a banner titled "Welcome" for the visiting
teams coming to the annual Glendale Holiday
Tournament. Coach Roberts fractured his hip and arm
in the fall. He was taken home by Glendale football coach
Bob Price, but went to the hospital soon afterward for
surgery. Head coaching duties were handed over to
Roy Green and longtime Glendale junior
varsity mentor/head assistant Ed Baker.
