Posted by Patrick Dailey on Sep 10 2004 at 05:00PM PDT

Team Room / Video Equipment
To construct and furnish a team locker room and state-of-the-art
video editing equipment.

I. "Building on a Great Glendale Tradition" Campaign
A. An organized effort to raise $48,000 by November 1st, 2004.
B. These funds will be utilized to ensure funding of the construction
of the exterior and interior of a Glendale Boys Basketball Locker Room.
The locker room will also be equipped with state-of-the-art audio visual equipment.

II. Financial campaigns such as this depend on those who are aware of
the success and history of the Glendale High School Boys Basketball
past and are interested in continued improvement and success in the future.
A. "Building on a Great Glendale Tradition" depends on volunteers.
This campaign must develop a widespread appeal among both major
donors and those donors who can only afford modest commitments.
B. It will be necessary for contacts to those interested in our project to be successful.
C. Key contacts that are a must for a successful project...
1. Parents and extended family members of present, future, and past players
2. Past players
3. Supporters and fan base of Boys Basketball
4. Supporters of Glendale High School
5. Social peers

III. The 80/20 rule: Determining where the money will come from
A. 80% of the contributions will come from 20% of the donors.
B. This means:
1. The best time to raise money is before the campaign begins.
Have a majority of our goal in hand before public announcements.
2. The committee should be 100% financially committed to the project.
3. We must have at least three times the needed number of prospects
in each category we will solicit (individuals and businesses).
4. We expect 80% of our goal from our top 23 gifts. The balance
is expected from our next 118 donors.

The Project:
The New Glendale Boys Basketball Locker Room will consist of
demolition of the existing lockers and construction of walls,
ceiling and a door. The walls will be painted both on the interior
and the exterior. All HVAC, electrical, fans, fixtures, receptacles and
switches will be installed. The lockers will be wood and constructed by a
high quality cabinet maker. Each player will have their own private
locker within the team room. The carpet covering the floor will feature
an insert of the Glendale logo. State-of-the-Art video equipment will
consist of a camera, laptop, and Gamebreaker a proprietary software
and digital video technology to gather valuable information on
individuals and teams including the competition. This software and
digital video technology will be used during performance for
comparisons and fine tuning, and afterwards to track the development
of individual players or teams. Gamebreaker is designed to help:
> Check out the strengths and flaws in the opposition
> Adapt performance to win.
> Identify team strengths - and enhance them.
> Improve individual actions and reactions.
> Test the effectiveness of combinations and maneuvers.
> Compare speed - and technique related performances.
