Columbia High School Head Softball Coach, Cliff Smith, is running a softball camp in South Orange during the week of July 10-13, 2017. Camp hours are 9:00 a.m - 3:00 p.m.
Cougar Softball Camp is for girls entering grades 4-9. The camp will focus on the basic fundamentals of softball and instill the proper methods to improve and hone skills. Each camper will be exposed to the following:
Proper Mechanics/Techniques of Throwing a Softball
Defensive Techniques and Strategy
Fundamentals of the Swing
Mental Aspects of the Game
Base Running Form/Techniques
Pitching, Catching & Position Player
Fundamentals Sportsmanship and Rules
Each day of Cougar Softball Camp will consist of a different skill and technique that players will learn and apply. Instruction will take place each morning, so players can utilize skills taught in afternoon games. In the event of bad weather, Friday will be a rain date.
