Summer Villagers Tryouts

All girls who reside in Maplewood and South Orange and are between ages 9 and 14 as of 1/1/2016 are invited to try out for the following MSO Villagers summer travel teams on March 11^th, 12^th & 13^th:

10U Summer Villagers (YOB 2005, 2006)
12U Summer Villagers (YOB 2003, 2004)
14U Summer Villagers (YOB 2001, 2002)

NOTE:  Tryouts for the 8U Summer Villagers team will take place later this spring.

IMPORTANT:  In order to help us gauge the level of interest in each age group, all players must be pre-registered in order to tryout for the Summer Villagers.  Complete the pre-registration form by clicking on the appropriate link at the bottom of this page.

The Summer Villagers seasons will include:

• Local practices starting as early as April (as scheduled by each coach)
• Parkway Invitational Softball League (PISL) which will include a 10-game schedule (plus playoffs) from mid-June through late-July
• Multiple independent weekend tournaments including the possibility of an overnight trip

The Summer Villagers team will be selected after holding competitive tryouts on March 11^th, 12^th & 13^th.  The tryout schedule for each age group is as follows:

Friday, March 11^th, 6:30pm to 8:30pm - Maplewood Middle School Gym
Friday, March 11^th, 6:00pm to 8:00pm - The Sports Academy (56 East Willow Street, Millburn)
Saturday, March 12^th, 9:00am to 11:00am - Maplewood Middle School Gym

12U Summer Villagers Tryout Schedule
Saturday, March 12^th, 2:00pm to 4:00pm - Maplewood Middle School Gym
Sunday, March 13^th, 10:00am to 11:30am - Baird Center Batting Cages

The fee for the Summer Villagers is $275 (includes registration and uniform).
