Majors (11-12) Baseball - Tournament Team Roster Announced

The Process of selecting the players, Coach and Manager has now been completed for the 11/12 Little League division All Stars.  We will wrap up the 10/11 and 9/10 year old divisions by the end of this week.  I know it was not an easy process to arrive at this roster, but the Manager and evaluators are convinced that they have selected the 11 most talented Little Leaguers on the Island.  Not to burst their bubble, but the Majors players convinced me weeks ago!  Looking back at the All Star player voting, the top 11 players selected for the All Star team also received the most votes.  I know that this will not always happen, but it does show that the players recognize who is playing at a higher level during the regular season.  Remember, the players could vote only for players on other teams.  In this instance, it’s a kid’s game, they know how to play the game, and they know which kids are playing at a higher level.   So, please welcome to the 11-12 Mercer Island Little League All-Star Team...

By a majority vote of the Majors coaches, Steve Stenberg was elected to be the Manager of the All Star team.  Steve has chosen Brock Mansfield as the Coach, and Anne Emanuels as the Practice Coach and Chief Strategist.  Congratulations to each of them. Should you see any of these boys or coaches, please congratulate them on this accomplishment.  Should you see any MILL player or coach, congratulate him/her on a great season.  We will let you know the tournament schedule when it is posted, and we will also keep you up to date on the MILL web site as the tournament starts July 11th. Best of Luck to the 11-12 MILL All Star Team!

The District 9 Majors tournament will be played at Hidden Valley park in Bellevue, beginning on Saturday, July 11.  MI's first game will be at 12 noon on Saturday, July 11 against the All-Stars from Bellevue East LL.
