Speedee Runner Marinade

Popular in Upstate NY where they host an annual Spiedie Fest that draws 70,000 people each August.
2/3 C Lemon Juice (about 2 lemons)
2/3 C Wine Vinegar
1 C Olive Oil
6 Cloves Garlic, chopped fine
2 T Basil and Parsley
2 t Salt
1 - 1.5 t Pepper
1 T Garlic powder
Pinch Oregeno
Marrinate cubed chicken, beef, lamb or pork for 6-12 hours. Put on skewers and grill. Eat on pita, tortilla or crusty bread.
For lamb some like to add some mint to the marinade.
Venison, tuna and swordfish are also popular.
