  Central Suffolk Challenger Softball Program An Adaptive Softball Sports Program for the Physical & Developmentally Disabled Ages 4 – Adult, Intramural Games & Skills Programs, Travel Teams/Tournament Teams Registration fee – $50.00, scholarships are available, don’t let cost be a barrier! Ages 4 – 12 (Minors), Ages 13 + (Intramurals) – 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Travel Teams – 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Henrietta Acampora Recreation Center- 39 Montauk Highway, Blue Point, NY> Teams meet on Sundays – Opening Day – Sunday, September 8th 2024   Spring/Summer Season (April – July) & Fall Season (September – October) There is NO residency requirement. If you can get there, you can play!!!! All forms are available online (see Documents Below) or you can email us and we will send them to you. Annual Duck Game and Barbecue

When:      Saturday September 2 2023  @ 6:35PM – Ducks Vs  Someone  -    Where:    Bethpage Ballpark, Central Islip Tickets:   Adults $40,  Children under 12  $35       Contact Roger Smith (347) 446-6168     Email: sacchallengerb@optonline.net   By August 13, 2023  This includes tickets to the game plus an all-you-can eat buffet with hanburgers, hot dogs, chicken, ribs, tossed salad, Pepsi beverages, cookies,  potato and macaroni salad. This starts before the game begins and runs for 90 minutes. Yes, we will have our athletes line up on the field before the game. Be at the side entrance gate to the picnic area at 5:00 PM . There will be fireworks after the game.

Adaptive Sports Program Featuring: Intramural Games-Travel/Tournament Teams-Skills Program

The Challenger Program is sanctioned by the Little League of America. The challenger Program is chartered by the United States Congress as an Educational Program and is open to anyone who has a physical or developmental disability.

There are 4 divisions in Challenger baseball

 Division  Age
 Minors  4-9
 Majors  10-13
 Juniors  13-18
 Senior  18 & Over

Each division is established based upon sufficient enrollment in those respective age brackets. Every player will receive a team shirt and hat. Equipment (except for baseball gloves) is provided by the League, suggested registration fee of $50.00 but scholarships are available so don't let cost be a barrier. There is no residency requirement. If you can get there, you can play !!!

Please complete and return the registration form (See Handouts Tab) to ensure a uniform being ready for you on opening day.

Hey adults, brothers, sisters and friends. You don't have to be caught watching in the stands. We need Managers, Coaches, Team Mothers and Buddies to make this a success.

We also need sponsors. Anyone wishing to sponsor or would like to make a donation, please have a check made out to Central Suffolk Challenger. All funds donated are tax deductible and stay within the Challenger Division.
