Dear NABA League President:
The NABA hopes this email finds you, your families and your leagues doing
well. The National Office has been working to continue to provide our player
members with opportunities and benefits for being a part of the NABA. Below we
have provided some new opportunities we recently made.
Please feel free to post this information on your League website and
to contact us if you should have any questions on how each of the programs
work.
Sports Authority
The NABA and Sports Authority have agreed to make Sports Authority one of
NABA's Official Sporting Goods Suppliers. For those leagues who do not have a
Sports Authority, we are working to make the contact with Dicks Sporting Goods
to assist you if you should have a Dicks instead of a Sports Authority.
The National Office has already posted this on the front page of the
National Website if you are interested in reviewing it.
We have attached the Sports Authority Logo to this email to allow you to
post it on your website if you would like to do that. As well, each month Sports
Authority will be sending to the NABA a coupon for all of our player members to
use for any purchases made nationwide. We have also attached the coupon for you
to post on your website for your player members as well.
In addition, Sports Authority has agreed where they have a location, to
allow all of our League President's the opportunity to use their store location
as way for our League President's to promote their leagues, or to use their
locations for meetings if needed.
Sports Authority has provided the NABA National Office with the contact
list of every Community Marketing Representative for every store nationwide. If
you are interested in setting up a table in their store to promote your league;
to hand out information about your league; or to setup a League meeting,
information meeting, or umpires meeting, please contact the NABA National Office
and we will provide you with the name and phone number of the Community
Marketing Representative in your area.
New Era Caps
The NABA and New Era Caps have agreed to make New Era the Official Cap
Supplier of the NABA. The National Office has already posted this on the front
page of our National Website if you are interested in reviewing it.
We have attached the New Era logo to this email to allow you to post it on
your website if you would like to do that. We have also attached a letter from
New Era that you can hyperlink to the logo explaining to all of your teams how
they can utilize the new program if they are interested in purchasing
caps.
New Era has asked that all teams contact them personally for setup,
digitizing, artwork and payment. New Era has asked that prices not be posted
online in case there is ever a price change; however, the NABA National Office
has seen the discounted price offered to teams and they range from $11.95 for
adjustable caps to $15.95 for custom fitted caps.
You can see below New Eras terms and conditions which they will explain to
each team who contacts them.
1. We do not charge for set up, digitizing, or art work.
2. Shipping charges do apply to orders, based on the weight of the caps. A
written quote will be provided before the order is placed.
3. An electronic design is sent to each customer for approval before any
order is placed.
4. Payment for orders are taken with school PO’s or Credit Cards
Pro Ice Cold Therapy
Products
The NABA and Pro Ice have agreed to make Pro Ice the Official Cold Therapy
Product of the NABA.
The National Office has already posted this on the front page of the
National Website if you are interested in reviewing it. We have attached the Pro
Ice logo to this email to allow you to post it on your website if you would like
to do that. We have also attached a letter from Pro Ice and the NABA that you
can hyperlink to the logo explaining to all of your teams how they can utilize
the new program if they are interested in purchasing product.
All NABA player-members are entitled to an incredible 50% discount from Pro
Ice when purchasing cold therapy products. The letter also provides the discount
code and the web address for Pro Ice where all player members can purchase the
product.
Conclusion
The NABA National Office hopes that you will take advantage of promoting
our partnerships on your website and to your leagues. We are currently finishing
another opportunity with ZINGER BATS to become an Official Wood
Bat of the NABA. Once we have that deal locked in for all of our player members
we will be forwarding to you that information as well.
Last, the NABA National Office would like to ask a favor from each of you.
Could you please assist us in whatever manner possible in asking teams and in
finding teams in your league to join us for our NABA National Tournament and
World Series. The NABA uses our tournaments to help fund operations and to keep
our affiliation fees at the lowest cost possible. While prices are rising
everywhere around the country in every phase of business, the NABA National
Office started our affiliation fees at $20.00 per player in 1998 and has never
increased those fees since, although our competitor has. We will continue to
fight and honor the affiliation fee where it is because we believe that is what
is right for our player members. However, we need help in getting
teams to our tournaments.
As we speak the NABA Las Vegas Tournament over Memorial Weekend has 48
committed teams. The Atlantic City Tournament over Memorial Weekend has 16
teams. While both tournaments are significantly down, the most surprising aspect
of this is that of the 48 teams in Las Vegas, only 9 of those teams are from
NABA leagues. In Atlantic City of the 16 teams in the tournament only 3 are from
NABA leagues.
We realize that the economy is tough for all of our player members. We do
however provide a discount for all teams who are NABA affiliated to every
tournament. And, for the World Series we provide a discount as well as have the
League Championship award program for each championship team in your league. We
sincerely appreciate any assistance of help you could provide us in reaching out
to your teams.
Thank you for your time and assistance!
