Frederick Hustlers 11u uses big third inning to beat Catoctin Baseball Club 11u, 13-4

Frederick Hustlers 11u beat Catoctin Baseball Club 11u 13-4 in six innings on Sunday at Yellow Springs Elem. School after a 10-run explosion in the third inning. Frederick Hustlers 11u scored in the third on a two-run double by DJ Eby, a two-run single by Justin Lynch, an RBI single by Izaiah Dillenger, a passed ball, an RBI single by Alex Miller, an error, an error, and a passed ball. Justin racked up two RBIs on two hits for Frederick Hustlers 11u. Andrew Stroka was in control on the mound. Andrew held Catoctin Baseball Club 11u hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one. Frederick Hustlers 11u scored three runs of its own in the fourth. Frederick Hustlers 11u scored on a sacrifice fly by Aiden Joseph, a passed ball, and a passed ball.

Frederick Hustlers 11u shut the door early on Catoctin Baseball Club 11u, capturing an 18-2 victory on Sunday at Catoctin Baseball Club. Eighteen runs in the first three innings allowed Frederick Hustlers 11u to put the game away early. A two-run double by David Karszen, a two-run single by Alex Miller, and an RBI single by DJ Eby during the first inning and an error, an error, a two-run double by Andrew Stroka, an RBI single by Alex, and an RBI single by DJ in the second inning helped Frederick Hustlers 11u put some runs on the board early. Alex racked up four RBIs on three hits for Frederick Hustlers 11u. Frederick Hustlers 11u easily handled Catoctin Baseball Club 11u pitching as six hitters combined for nine hits, 11 RBIs and 12 runs scored. It didn't take long for Frederick Hustlers 11u to respond as it scored seven runs of its own in the third. Frederick Hustlers 11u scored on an RBI single by Izaiah Dillenger, a passed ball, an error, a steal of home by Kyle Brown, an RBI single by Alex, an error, and a sacrifice fly by DJ.

Not even a strong hitting and pitching performance from David Karszen could carry Frederick Hustlers 11u past Oxford Outlaws 11u at Catoctin Baseball Club on Sunday as Frederick Hustlers 11u suffered a 4-3 defeat. David was hot from the plate for Frederick Hustlers 11u. David went 2-3, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the second inning and doubled in the third inning. David pitched lights out for Frederick Hustlers 11u. Oxford Outlaws 11u managed just one hit off of Karszen, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one during his two innings of work. The top of the second saw Frederick Hustlers 11u take an early lead, 2-0. Frederick Hustlers 11u got things going when David singled. A stolen base then moved David from first to second. Frederick Hustlers 11u pushed more runs across on an RBI single by Aiden Joseph. After posting one run in the second, Oxford Outlaws 11u again scored one in the fifth. In the second, Oxford Outlaws 11u scored on a groundout by Chris, bringing home Austin. Oxford Outlaws 11u quickly matched Frederick Hustlers 11u's strong inning with a two-run inning of its own in the third. Oxford Outlaws 11u scored on a walk by Austin and a walk by Joey F.

Frederick Hustlers 11u jumped out to an early lead on the Hickory Hornets 11u and captured a 16-2 victory on Saturday at Hickory Hornets. With nine runs in the first three innings, Frederick Hustlers 11u left no doubt about the eventual outcome. An error during the first inning and an RBI single by Alex Miller and an RBI single by Brooks Aleshire in the second inning helped Frederick Hustlers 11u put some runs on the board early. Alex racked up three RBIs on two hits for Frederick Hustlers 11u. The Hickory Hornets 11u had no answer for Andrew Stroka, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Andrew held the Hickory Hornets 11u hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out one. Frederick Hustlers 11u got six-run rallies in the third inning and the sixth. In the third, Frederick Hustlers 11u scored on an error, scoring Justin Lynch.

Nine hits weren't enough for Frederick Hustlers 11u as it lost a shootout, 15-13 in six innings, to the Hickory Hornets 11u on Saturday at Hickory Hornets. Brooks Aleshire got on base three times in the game for Frederick Hustlers 11u. He scored three runs and had one RBI. He singled in the sixth inning. The bottom of the first saw Frederick Hustlers 11u take an early lead, 1-0. The Hickory Hornets 11u pushed across three runs in both the fourth inning and the sixth. In the fourth, the Hickory Hornets 11u scored on an RBI single by Jack Vanvalkenburgh, plating Brandon Losito. After a quick strike from the Hickory Hornets 11u, Frederick Hustlers 11u responded with seven runs in the fifth. Frederick Hustlers 11u scored on an error, a two-run error,a sacrifice fly by David Karszen, and a two-run double by Alex Miller. The Hickory Hornets 11u didn't relinquish the lead after scoring three runs in the sixth inning when they scored on a two-run triple by Austin Carr. Frederick Hustlers 11u tied the game in the sixth on an RBI single by Justin Lynch that scored Brooks.
