Frederick Hustlers 11u jumps on Gowags Rockhounds early and coasts to 20-2 win in Ripken Web Gems Championship
Frederick Hustlers 11u jumped out to an early lead on Gowags Rockhounds and captured a 20-2 victory on Tuesday at Ripken. With 17 runs in the first three innings, Frederick Hustlers 11u left no doubt about the eventual outcome. A fielder's choice, an RBI single by Alex Miller, a passed ball, an error, a two-run error, an RBI single by Justin Lynch, an RBI double by Izaiah Dillenger, and an RBI single by David Karszen during the first inning helped Frederick Hustlers 11u put some runs on the board early. Alex had two extra-base hits for Frederick Hustlers 11u. Andrew Stroka got it done on the mound on the way to a win. He allowed two runs over five innings. Andrew struck out one, walked one and gave up four hits. Frederick Hustlers 11u easily handled Gowags Rockhounds pitching as eight hitters combined for 17 hits, 10 RBIs and 18 runs scored. Frederick Hustlers 11u added eight more runs in the bottom of the third. A passed ball scored Izaiah to start the scoring in the inning. That was followed up by Alex's double, scoring Kyle Brown. Frederick Hustlers 11u increased its lead with three runs in the fourth. Andrew's double got things going, bringing home Alex.

Frederick Hustlers 11u jumped on Capital City Crushers early on its way to a 9-4 win on Tuesday at Ripken in six innings, scoring five runs in the first inning. Frederick Hustlers 11u scored in the first on an RBI single by David Karszen, a groundout by Alex Miller, a passed ball, a single by Tyler Michael, and a passed ball. Justin Lynch racked up two RBIs on two hits for Frederick Hustlers 11u. He singled in the first inning and tripled in the fourth inning. David recorded the win for Frederick Hustlers 11u. He allowed four runs over six innings. He struck out three, walked none and surrendered 10 hits. The top of the first saw Capital City Crushers take an early lead, 2-0. Oferral kicked things off for Capital City Crushers with a single. A stolen base then moved Oferral from first to second. Capital City Crushers then tacked on more runs when Lalik scored on a passed ball. Frederick Hustlers 11u tacked on another three runs in the fourth. Justin started the inning with a triple, scoring Stevie Orsini and Tyler. Two runs in the top of the sixth helped Capital City Crushers close its deficit to 9-4. An RBI single by Halloran gave Capital City Crushers life. But, David got Mckeever to to end the game.

Justin racked up three RBIs on two hits for Frederick Hustlers 11u. The top of the first saw New Oxford All-Stars take an early lead, 2-0. Kuntz kicked things off for New Oxford All-Stars with a single. A passed ball then moved Kuntz from first to second. Strausbaugh singled, scoring Kuntz and Boyers. Frederick Hustlers 11u scored one run of its own in the third. Frederick Hustlers 11u scored on a passed ball.
