Frederick Hustlers 11u takes early lead on single, holds on for 9-4 win over Capital City Crushers

Frederick Hustlers 11u jumped on Capital City Crushers early on its way to a 9-4 win on Tuesday at Ripken in six innings, scoring five runs in the first inning. Frederick Hustlers 11u scored in the first on an RBI single by David Karszen, a groundout by Alex Miller, a passed ball, a single by Tyler Michael, and a passed ball. Justin Lynch racked up two RBIs on two hits for Frederick Hustlers 11u. He singled in the first inning and tripled in the fourth inning. David recorded the win for Frederick Hustlers 11u. He allowed four runs over six innings. He struck out three, walked none and surrendered 10 hits. The top of the first saw Capital City Crushers take an early lead, 2-0. Oferral kicked things off for Capital City Crushers with a single. A stolen base then moved Oferral from first to second. Capital City Crushers then tacked on more runs when Lalik scored on a passed ball. Frederick Hustlers 11u tacked on another three runs in the fourth. Justin started the inning with a triple, scoring Stevie Orsini and Tyler. Two runs in the top of the sixth helped Capital City Crushers close its deficit to 9-4. An RBI single by Halloran gave Capital City Crushers life. But, David got Mckeever to to end the game.
