The Frederick Hustlers brought the lumber in the championship game of the 2nd Annual Battle @ Gettysburg tournament. Three separate Hustlers homered to ensure a 12-5 championship victory over the GoWags Rockhounds.

The teams traded runs for most of the contest, leading to four lead changes in the game.

In the top of the first, Frederick grabbed the early lead, 2-0. After Aiden doubled, the Hustlers kept the pressure on Rockhounds pitching, as Trevor homered, scoring Aiden.

The Hustlers blew the game open scoring six runs in the fourth on an error, a three-run home run by Stevie, a sacrifice fly by Aiden, and a solo home run by Jacob. 

Andrew got it done on the mound on the way to a win. He allowed one run over 1 1/3 innings. Andrew struck out one, walked none and gave up one hit.

Hustlers hitters pounded Rockhounds pitching, as six hitters combined for eight hits, nine RBIs and 10 runs scored.

Frederick sealed the victory, adding four more runs in the top of the sixth. A double by Ryan ignited the offense, plating Justin. That was followed up by Tyler's single, scoring Jacob and Ryan.

In what was the most intense baseball game of the season, the Frederick Hustlers and the GoWags Thunder exchanged the lead 10 times on Sunday, but Frederick ended up on top with an 8-7 win in six innings over the Thunder, advancing to the tournament championship game.

Frederick pulled out the win thanks to a strong fifth inning. A sacrifice fly by Stevie scored Kyle and gave the Hustlers the lead for good.

Ryan racked up three RBIs on two hits for Frederick, doubling in the second and third innings.

Trevor got the win for the Hustlers. He allowed four runs over three innings. Trevor struck out four, walked three and gave up six hits.

Frederick Hustlers closer Andrew put away the final six outs to record the save.

The GoWags Thunder jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the second thanks to a solo homerun to start off the inning.

However, it didn't take long for Frederick to respond as it scored two runs of its own in the second. The Hustlers scored on a fielder's choice and a groundout by Kyle .

The Thunder managed to push across three runs in both the third inning and the fourth. 

The Hustlers scored four runs of its own in the third. After Trevor was intentionally walked to load the bases, Ryan scorched a 3-run double. Kyle then plated Ryan with an RBI single.

The win means that the Frederick Hustlers will play the GoWags Rockhounds in the tournament championship. 

With nine runs in the first three innings, the Frederick Hustlers left no doubt about the eventual outcome, defeating the Aberdeen Arsenel 12-4 in the quarter finals of the 2nd Annual Battle @ Gettysburg.

The Hustlers pounded Arsenal pitching, as six hitters combined for 13 hits, 10 RBIs and 10 runs scored.

An RBI double by Trevor, a steal of home by Trevor, and an RBI single by Kyle in the first inning supplied the early offense for the Hustlers.

Justin racked up three RBIs on one hit for Frederick with a triple in the third inning.

Ryan brought the heat against Arsenal during his outing. Arsenal managed just one hit off of Ryan, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out one during his four innings of work.

The Hustlers added six more runs in the top of the third. The inning got off to a hot start when Ryan singled, scoring Jacob. That was followed up by Andrew's single, plating Ryan.

Frederick tacked on another three runs in the sixth. Ryan's single got things going, bringing home Trevor. That was followed up by Andrew's double, scoring Ryan.

The win sets up a rematch between the Hustlers and the GoWags Thunder at 1:30pm in the tournament semi-finals.

Frederick Hustlers rolled over GoWags Thunder 12-5 on Saturday at the 2nd Annual The Battle @ Gettysburg after a seven-run rally in the fourth inning.

The teams traded runs for most of the contest, leading to six lead changes in the game.

The Hustlers finally managed to grab the lead after a strong fourth inning. Frederick went up for good on an RBI double by Aiden, scoring Stevie.

Trevor racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Hustlers. He launched a homerun in the fourth inning that still has not come back to Earth and doubled in the third and fifth innings.

Trevor also got the win for the Frederick Hustlers. He allowed one run over three innings. He struck out five, walked two and surrendered four hits.

Hustler closer Ryan put away the final six outs to record the save.

GoWags Thunder scored four runs in the fourth, due in large part to back-to-back home runs.

Frederick never surrendered the lead after the fourth inning. The runs piled on thanks to an RBI double by Kyle, a two-run home run by Trevor, and two singles.

The Hustlers tacked on another two runs in the fifth. Justin's solo blast over the right field fence got things going. That was followed up by Trevor's double, bringing home Jacob.

With this win, the Hustlers are now the #5 seed going into day 2 of the tournament. They will face the Aberdeen Arsenal at 10:45 on Sunday morning.   

The Urbana Hawks weren't able to overcome the big hole it dug itself into against the Frederick Hustlers, losing 5-3 to Frederick after falling behind by four runs in the fourth inning.

Urbana scored two runs in the sixth on two errors. Still, the Hawks couldn't draw even.

Trevor got the win for the Hustlers. He pitched one shutout inning, struck out two, walked none and surrendered one hit.

The bottom of the second saw Frederick take an early lead, 1-0 on a double by Tyler, bringing home Aiden. s

The Hustlers never trailed after scoring four runs in the fourth on a two-run double by Stevie and a two-run single by Joseph.

The win closes out the regular season for the Frederick Hustlers. The Hustlers finished with a season record of 14-4. That record is good for 2nd place overall, trailing only the Olney Pirates.

Next up for the Hustlers is The Battle @ Gettysburg tournament June 8-9 and then the MCBA league tournament the following week.
