In what was the most intense baseball game of the season, the Frederick Hustlers and the GoWags Thunder exchanged the lead 10 times on Sunday, but Frederick ended up on top with an 8-7 win in six innings over the Thunder, advancing to the tournament championship game.

Frederick pulled out the win thanks to a strong fifth inning. A sacrifice fly by Stevie scored Kyle and gave the Hustlers the lead for good.

Ryan racked up three RBIs on two hits for Frederick, doubling in the second and third innings.

Trevor got the win for the Hustlers. He allowed four runs over three innings. Trevor struck out four, walked three and gave up six hits.

Frederick Hustlers closer Andrew put away the final six outs to record the save.

The GoWags Thunder jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the second thanks to a solo homerun to start off the inning.

However, it didn't take long for Frederick to respond as it scored two runs of its own in the second. The Hustlers scored on a fielder's choice and a groundout by Kyle .

The Thunder managed to push across three runs in both the third inning and the fourth.

The Hustlers scored four runs of its own in the third. After Trevor was intentionally walked to load the bases, Ryan scorched a 3-run double. Kyle then plated Ryan with an RBI single.

The win means that the Frederick Hustlers will play the GoWags Rockhounds in the tournament championship.
