Jr. High Girls Close Out Season with a Win and Boys end with a Loss

The girls team ended its very successful regular season with a 78-44 win over Scranton Prep.  Madison Harding had yet another strong showing with four wins.  She achieved those wins in the 100 Hurdles, 100 meter dash, 400 meter, and joined Katie Retzbach, Kayla Agentowicz, and Elena Tomcykoski to win the 4x4 relay.  The 4x1 team of Agentowicz, Brooke Estadt, Kristen Hllavaty, and Taylor Flynn continued its solid season with a win.  Agentowicz added a win in the 800 and Flynn added a win in the 200.  Lakeland dominated the throws with a total of 18 points from the two events.  Molly Mikulak, on her birthday, won the shotput  and Anna Pidgeon got her first career victory in the discus.  The girls finished the season with a 6-1 record.  The boys team again fell.  Prep outscored them by a score of 73-50.  The 4x8 team of Nick Setta, Kurt Reeves, Mike Arzie, and Joey Snedeker started the meet off with a win in the 4x8.  Collin Cooper continued his solid season with a win in the 400 and anchored the 4x4 to another win.  Tommy Dastalfo, Mike Lowry, and Brandon Donahue joined Cooper on that 4x4.  Paul Forbes got the only other win in the triple jump.  The boys team finished up at 1-6.  The next meet is Friday at the Abington Invitational.
