The Girls 6 team defeated Methuen on Saturday afternoon by a score of 33-17 to move into the semi-finals of the RVL 6A/B tournament. The Lady Hornets ran out to an early lead that was fueled by their intense defense. The NR girls opened up their lead in the second half and cruised to the win.
North Reading beats North Andover B 15 - 13

The North Reading girls won a very tight game against North Andover B by a score of 15-13 on Saturday afternoon. The game could only be described as a slugfest that resulted in only one field goal in the first half between both teams. The score at the half was 5-4, North Andover. The NR girls outscored North Andover 8-1 to start the second half to take a 12-6 lead. The NR girls held off a late North Andover run to pull out the win and punch their ticket to the A/B bracket final.
