Early-Bird Registration $25 ( $30 after February 20, 2010 )

The Challenger Division of District 54 Little League is a program for mentally and physically challenged youth, helping them to enjoy the full benefits of Little League participation in an athletic environment structured to their abilities. Playing with the same equipment on the same fields, Challenger Division participants have the opportunity to experience the joys of pulling together as a team, being cheered and earning awards for their achievements. June 1, Giants (14-1-1) vs A's (2-14) 

I'm going to make this short and sweet ... since all I have on my mind is the PLAYOFFS!!!  But another solid game Giants .....

Pitching was great for the G's as Caden, Mitchell, and Colin threw strikes ... as a matter of fact, their coach only came out an average of 2x an inning .. Cade had a K, Mitch had two K's and Colin struck out the side and added another the final inning.   

Hitting was AWESOME out of the gate ... as the Giants put up 10 runs in the first two innings.  Mitchell, Nick, Tyler, Colin, and Caden were perfect at the plate ... going 12-12, 7 runs, 7 RBIs ... that's production!  Anthony SMACKED a HUGE stand up double past the LF ... and Caleb, Aidan and Ben had timely hits going 5-9, 4 Runs, 4 RBIs.  Ryan and Dylan both made great contact but were robbed ... and I think Akey is saving his bat for the playoffs which I bet he comes through. 

Defesively we looked a little rusty but there were some gems ... SS Tyler snagging the popup, Caden to Adian who also made the unassisted play at 1st ... and the rest of the outs were made by one individual ..... 

At the game it was a tough call on the GAME BALL because so many kids stepped up ... but after further review it was hands down this kid .... not only did he go 2-2 with a run and RBI, but he also took care of their heart of the order - 4th, 5th and 6th batters - by making the throw to 1st on the comebacker AND striking out the last two batters ... he also made the play from second base to first ... AND he started the game in CF by making the first out of the game off the huge A's hit when he flew under the ball catching it with ease.  No doubt about it ... this one goes to BALL GAME MAGNET MITCH!!!  Incredible all around game ...
