River Cats advanced past the Express on Saturday, 5/19/12, at the Minor A Field bringing in a 13-6 win in six innings.
River Cats scored five runs in the third on a three-run triple by Paul Wagner, an RBI double by Sam Myers, and an RBI double by Chris Soto.
Wagner racked up three RBIs on two hits for the River Cats.
River Cats hammered Express pitching as six hitters had a field day, combining for 12 hits, 11 RBIs and 11 runs scored. After pushing across five runs in the bottom of the third, Express faced just a 9-5 deficit. A two-run double by Drew Lottsfeldt, an RBI double by Ballinas, and a two-run double by Dylan Youngsma triggered Express' comeback. The lead stayed with the cats after the first, when it scored four runs on two doubles and a two-run single by Myers.
