Little League World Series Celebration

This past Saturday, September 10, 2011, the City of Huntington Beach honored the Little League World Series Champion OVLL All Stars with a
Parade down Main Street starting at 3:00 PM, followed by a presentation on the Huntington Beach Pier.
Prior to the Parade, from 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM a generous and classy group of sponsors hosted a BBQ fundraiser in the parking lot of The Huntington Beach Art Center, with proceeds benefitting the Ocean View Little League World Series Travel Fund and OVLL.

Current Donations: $35,437
A Note to our wonderful OVLL Fans: Although we've hit our initial estimated "goal", it will in reality only cover about 60% of the expected travel, lodging, and food expenses for 13 families. We're new at this, having never had the fortune of going to the LLWS before, and when we set the goal of $30,000, it seemed unreachable. We underestimated the overwhelming and heartfelt response that the team and league has received. So, if you want to be a part of the experience, rest assured the additional donations are expected to continue to contribute to the All Star families -- excess, if any, will be put to good use by the league.
