HELPFUL HINTS TO RUNNING A CONCESSION STAND WITHOUT CONFUSION AND CONGESTION

HAVE FUN!

Be on time. (so you have proper preparation time before opening the windows)

Depending on the number of workers:
  • One person running the till
  • One or two people taking orders (this person can also get pop orders)
  • One or two people in back area cooking/preparing food
  • One person manning the popcorn machine
  • One person pouring coffee/cappuccino/hot chocolate/Russian tea/cider

Customers should line up at the opposite end of the cash register, take orders, call out orders to those preparing food, when the customer reaches the register, they should have their order and be ready to pay.

In our new facility, we have plenty of room so there is no need to be running into each other.  If everyone takes a station, and helps out when needed or time allows, things should run smoothly for everyone.
