 Westport/Weston YMCA

Note: winter storm advisory in effect, Water Rat Team will delay the start of the morning session on Saturday, January 21st. Warm up for the 9 & 10 year old swimmers will now begin at 9:00AM.  Afternoon Saturday session for 11 & 12 years old swimmers unaltered at 1:00 PM.

Please keep safety in mind. If you are delayed - please call coach Kristina at 203-536-4541. Westport Weston Family Y phone number is 203-226-8981.
Note 2:The WRAT Pentathlon Sunday session (13/over) for Jan 23 has been combined into 1 session, not as shown in meet announcement

MEET REMINDER:

WHAT: Water Rat Pentathlon

WHERE: Westport YMCA (59 Post Rd. east, Westport CT)  

WHEN: 

9/10 swimmers - Saturday (Jan. 21) - 8:00 AM 9 AM

11/12 swimmers - Saturday (Jan. 21) - 1:00 PM

13&Over swimmers - Sunday (Jan. 22) - 7:30 AM

Be on the pool deck 15min. prior to the warm up. Coaches need to hand in a “scratch sheet” prior to the start of the meet session. If swimmers arrive late (without informing their coach in advance), the swimmer will be scratched (taken out of the meet and not put back). 

WHAT TO BRING:
- White team swim cap
- Team swim suit 
- 2 pairs of goggles
- 2 towels
- Team t-shirt and/or sweatshirt
- Warm clothes to wear, to keep body warm between the races
- small snack and drink 
PARENTS, PLEASE NOTE:
 -We might be asked to provide timers for the meet. Please be prepared to  time.
- Only athletes, coaches, officials, and official meet staff volunteers are permitted on the pool deck
- Parking is available in the municipal lot on Elm Street, behind the Family Y. Please observe parking restrictions.
