Wrap: by Jeff Pierce Daily Times Chronicle

The Bulldogs came back with a solid 3-1 win on Sunday over Arlington after dropping a 9-5 decision to the same Trojans team on Friday.

It took the Bulldogs just two days to erase the memory of their sloppy loss on Friday in which the teams infield defense fell apart. In the rematch, this time it was the infield defense that backstopped the victory. Playing on the smooth and true surface of their home field, Reading had 11 infield assists and turned two double plays.

The Bulldogs took their first lead of the season when Ryan Wolfsberg came home on an infield out after he and Dante Padovani (double) lead the inning off with hits. The Bulldogs increased the lead in the third inning on Colin Sitarz's rbi double.  Padovani added an insurance in the sixth with a sacrifice fly scoring Wolfsberg who had singled, stole second and went to third on a wild pitch.

Meanwhile Nick Kelley went the distance on the mound allowing just an unearned run in the final inning. Kelley had strong defensive support from Nick Conti and Bill Cataldo up the middle and from catcher Zac Talis who threw out a base stealer late in the game.
