The Bulldogs gave away a couple of late runs to the league champion Chiefs and suffered a disappointing 4-2 defeat at Tufts University in the Fathers Day tilt.

The Bulldogs scored first and last runs in the game but which has been historically the case at this field the Bulldogs found a way to give away the game to the Chiefs.

The Bulldogs jumped out early in the first when Hank Oringer singles stole second and scored on Nick Conti's single.

The Chiefs came back with two runs in the bottom of the inning aided by a streak of wildness from Reading pitcher Brian O'Neil, who walked three batters and forced home a run on a hit batter, around just one Chief hit.

O'Neil settled down and pitched a strong game the rest of the way but a Bulldog two out error on an outfield fly gave the Chiefs two insurance entering to work with.

In the seventh, Dante Padovani reached base to start the inning and scored on a Bill Cataldo double with one out, but the threat and game ended there and the Bulldogs went down to a frustrating loss once again at Huskins Field.
