Congratulations on a great 2009 fastball season!
As a wrap to our season we thought we’d send a note with information for our AGM and Annual banquet to wrap up the 2009 GCMFL season. The AGM and banquet will be held at the Stittsville Broadway Bar & Grill on Saturday November 28th.
Please alert your members that we will be accepting 2010 registration forms and fees at the banquet using 2009 prices (Cost is $150 for the 2010 season, or $250 for 2 seasons (2010 and 2011)). As a BONUS anyone who registers at the banquet will get a free pitcher of beer! The AGM will commence at 6:00 PM.
As an incentive to have more players attend the AGM and add their input into the league for 2009, any league member in attendance at the beginning of the AGM will be given a ticket for a free beer + a raffle ticket for a door prize.
Some items for team captains/co-captains:
- Please send your team MVP name to us ASAP
- Please get your team pitcher and catcher to submit one name for the Gil Read trophy (top hitter)
- Please send your team's vote for the recipient of the 2009 Martin Kammer award. The nominees from our website include : Mike Vandenberg, Bruce Robinson (2007 winner), Billy Gerber, Aaron Amo, Tom Chambers, Joe Glynn, Tyler Nystedt, Eric Rosenquist, Matt Watts.
- As you know we made a big investment in new bats in 2009 and we’d like to keep them close so we can leverage them in 2010 so we are asking that you bring the league-supplied Combat bat to the AGM.
The League Banquet will commence at 8:00 PM.
This year we have a budget to cover prizes for MVPs and tournament/league champions. Members must be in attendance in order to collect their prize. Rather than taking liberty on some shopping we’ve decided that we’d put the budget to purchasing a variety of gift cards as they do in golf tournaments
