Children participating in organized sports in NJ who wear corrective eyeglasses will now be better protected when they step on the field thaks to groundbreaking legislation.

 Youngsters throughout the state are now required to wear protective eyewear tat meets the frames standards of the American Society for Testing and Materials and lens standards of the American National Standards Institute.

 The Law gives leagues the right to refuse to allowchildren to participate if their glasses do not conform to state law.
