PA Hockey History will be bringing to life over 40 Years of Pennsylvania High School Hockey History and  whether you are a current player, coach, parent or just like High School Hockey....we want to hear from you at www.pahockeyhub@aol.com . Scan and send us your favorite picture or memory and we will make it part of our Archives to be featured in Champions Gate.

Champions Gate 'A Celebration of High School Hockey in Pennsylvania' and PaceSetters and Legendary Teams - Pennsylvania Firsts will recount the Firsts in Pa Hockey and great players and teams over the past 40 + years

Above and Below are three of my favorite memories making their 34th, 36th and 40th Year Anniversaries in 2013-2014:

Photo # 1 - WPIHL League Chmpionships (1973) Western Pennsylvania High School Hockey - WPIHL  AAA Championship at the Alpine Ice Chalet in Swissvale as Churchill Fans storm the Ice after Rich Gegick's OT Game Winner against Richland.....we have the film, Churchill won their first WPIHL title of 9 in 12 years and we have the Archives

Photo # 2 - Pennsylvania High School Hockey Championships (1977)

After two final appearances in 1975 (vs Pennsylvania AAA Baldwin) and 1976 (vs Pennsylvania AAA Mt Lebanon)  Churchill captures the 1977 Pennsylvania High School Hockey AAA Championship at the Lafayette Rink in King of Prussia, Pa. 6-5 over Erie McDowell and captain Fran Murracca and the Chargers skate the Pennsylvania Cup.....we have the archives and pictures as Churchill won their first State Title of 2 and we have the Archives.

Photo # 3 - After 7 years of Announcing, Team Manager, Historian and # 1 Fan of Churchill Hockey.....in 1979-80 it was an honor to don the Red & White of the Churchill Chargers for one year and we won the WPIHL AAA Championship over North Catholic and then went on to the State Semis before falling to Upper St Clair in 1980......Actually scored a goal in my final Regular Season game.......and a special thank you to coach Dan Sheehy for giving me way more ice time than I deserved and making me a part of the great team !
