CARIFTA USVI Schedule for Saturday afternoon (Apr. 7): U17 - 100m Britt Sage at 5pm (4pm USVI time); U20 - 100m Zaire at 6pm (5pm USVI); U17 - 1500m Malique Smith and Ateniah Iyah Roacher 1500m at 6:30pm (5:30pm USVI); U17 - HJ Malique at 6:55pm (5:55pm USVI) 

Malique Smith and Britney Sage qualified for the 2012 CARIFTA Team. The CARIFTA Games are held this year in Bermuda. Malique will be competing in the 1500m, 3000m and High Jump Under 17. Britney will be competing in the 100m and 200m Under 17. Other team members are Zaire Knight in the 100m and 200m Under 20 and Ateniah Roacher in the 800m and 1500m.

MUSTANG Malique Smith came in 1st place in the UVI 5K run in a foto finish moment. Malique finished just slightly ahead of Billy Bohlke, multiple VI National Record holder in distance races. They both clocked a time of 17:58, which is for Malique about a minute faster then his last year first place finish.

Coach Mireille Smith finished 2nd overall for the females in 23:01, Ashley Paddie came in 4th in 28:22 and Geanaly Jones in 5th with 28:28
