2011 Elmira District Soccer Camp a Big Success!!
The first ever combined Elmira District Soccer Camp proved to be a huge success. Over 60 campers from the Elmira area braved heat, rain, and fatigue in order to prepare themselves for the 2011 high school and middle schools season for thier respective schools.
The camp was held on three fields including a full size grass pitch, a full size turf pitch, and a 60 x 40 field that was used for fitness and shooting sessions. Elmira District Girls' coach Coach Zach Sarno led the female branch of the camp and was assisted by Kayla and Amanda Murphy. Elmira District Boys' Coach Derek Hamilton led the male side of the camp along with Assistant Coach Adam Robinson and Goalkeeper Coach Nick Jakobson.
Both the boys and girls of the Elmira District kick of thier first season as combined programs on August 15th.
Strong start to hopes to be two strong programs!!
