Elmira Free Academy graduate Frankie Mannino and three players from Elmira College have been named to the Empire 8 Conference men's soccer all-star team, the league announced Thursday.
Elmira College men's soccer coach Jeremiah Kneeland was named the Doug May Memorial Coach of the Year after he led the Soaring Eagles to their first 10-victory season since 1999. He also led Elmira to victory over Stevens Tech, handing the Ducks just their second conference defeat in three years.
Elmira's Brian Haschke was first-team all-Empire 8 as a forward. The senior led the league with 10 goals and 27 points.
Midfielder Erik Lee made the second team after he produced four goals and two assists in his freshman year. Senior Kevin McKearney represented Elmira on the Sportsman of the Year team.
Mannino led Alfred in scoring with eight goals and helped the Saxons win five games this season after they won just two the year before.
