Blue Sox Take Continuation of Suspended June 20 Game, 7-1

(Lexington, MA)- The Lexington Blue Sox beat the Chiefs 7-1 in a game that was continued from June 20th on Sunday night.

The Chiefs led 1-0 when the gane was suspended in the third inning back in June. When play resumed in the bottom of the third inning, the Blue Sox scored four times thanks to an RBI triple by Anderson Jimenez and three Chiefs errors.

Charlie Walsh singled in two runs in the sixth inning to close out the Lexington scoring.

Matt Draper pitched four shutout innings in relief to earn the win. He struck out five and gave up only two hits.

Byron Woodman had given the Chiefs a 1-0 lead iin June with a second inning single. Luis Tejada and Ruben Rodriguez Jr both had doubles for the Chiefs.

A.J. Roueke pitched five innings and took the loss, despite not allowing any earned runs.

The Chiefs will meet the Lexington Bulldogs at LHS on Tuesday night.
